To insure that you completely understand how we grade our coins and currency, we have provided you with definitions of grading codes.  If you have any further questions regarding the grading of coins please contact us and we will answer your questions.

• Average Circulated Condition:
  Pleasing circulated coin with no damage; a coin that is clearly identified as to type, denomination, date, and mint where produced. Good condition also meets this criteria.
    
• Fine Condition:
  Attractive circulated coin with the outline of all features of both sides of the coin identifiable, and all words readable. Very Fine Condition and Extremely Fine Condition are similarly described but with progressively more detail.
    
• Brilliant Uncirculated:
  As beautiful as the day it was made by the U.S. Mint, with no wear. Premium Quality has a better strike and more attractive luster.
    

U.S. Mints and Mintmark location:

• “P” mintmark: Philadelphia.
  No mintmark was used for coins struck at the Philadelphia Mint until 1980 (except for the silver nickels made during World War II: 1942 to 1945); after that date, the letter “P” was placed
  on the coin.
• “CC” mintmark: Carson City
• “D” mintmark: Denver
• “O” mintmark: New Orleans
• “S” mintmark: San Francisco

All gold coin pendant sets include a genuine gold coin with excellent detail in About Uncirculated condition to Mint Condition, depending on the series. These are a pleasure to own.  The copper, nickel and silver pendant sets contain defect-free circulated coins.

5. What if I am not completely satisfied with my purchase?
You may return your purchase for a full refund for 10 days from the day you receive it, provided it is in its original undamaged condition.  Your satisfaction is very important to us!

6. Why are some gold coins minted in pure gold while some are "alloyed" or mixed with copper or silver?
Some countries alloy or "mix" the gold with silver or copper to make the gold harder and more durable for use in commerce.  The coins look nicer for a longer time because of this.

7. The date of the coin I want to purchase is not specified.  Do I get to choose what date I want?
Whenever a date of a coin is not specified, then the date is of our choice.

8. When will my order arrive?
All orders are normally shipped within 7 to 10 days after your order is processed and payment received.

• Mail order and website orders have a 10-day money back return period from the day you receive your order. Store purchases have a 3-day store credit return policy only. If you decide not to keep your purchase, we ask that you return it as quickly as possible as others are waiting for a chance to buy the coin that you received. Any coin(s) removed from its original holder, by you or another party, is not returnable for any reason. We make no claim as to how another party might grade a coin we offer.
    
• Many of our better coins are in bank vaults; therefore, if you are planning a visit to our store to inspect a specific coin, please call ahead to arrange it. All coins offered in our catalog or on our website are also available in our store.
    
• Add $5.00 postage to each order that you wish us to ship to you. 
  We currently are not shipping outside the United States.
    
• All coins are shipped insured or registered U.S. mail.
    
• All coins are guaranteed genuine. We know coins very well, and that assures you will NEVER need to be concerned about the authenticity of any coin we offer.
    
• Maryland residents add 5% sales tax on coin orders under $1,000. No sales tax is required on coin purchases totally $1,000 or more.
    
• Bullion prices are discounted "cash price" indications only and must be confirmed by phone or in writing. Gold coin pendant sets containing bullion coins are subject to the same restrictions. Use of a credit card for bullion may be permitted under certain circumstances, but prices will be 3% higher than the current discounted “cash” prices. It is likely that bullion prices in the catalog or on the website will be different than what is published, as bullion prices change constantly throughout the day, often dramatically. If you contact us by phone, we will give you the current silver, gold or platinum bullion prices. Bullion orders may require additional postage.
    
• Sellouts may occur; we welcome second choices and want lists, and will actively try to fill them.
    
• We use adjectival descriptions for most of our coins rather than “numbers”, as numbers imply a scientific preciseness that simply does not exist. Grading standards are known to change over time with collector interest and market fluctuation.
    
• We are not responsible for typographical errors and apologize for any inconvenience it may
  cause you.
    
• Prices are subject to change without notice, but we maintain our prices as long as possible.
    
• Layaways are available on order of $100 or more. 25% is due with the initial placement of the order, and 25% is due each month for the next 3 months. The 10-day return privilege still applies.
